CCRUN’s public health and social science teams assisted with the planning of, and participated in, a heat-health workshop in Massachusetts as part of NOAA’s NIHHIS program. NIHHIS works to understand how decision-makers in many disciplines are working to manage heat-health risks, and to improve and integrate the information available for this purpose. The goal of the workshop was to understand and document what information is needed by decision-makers and give employees a tool known as a “decision calendar” to do so. For this workshop, the tool was applied in theNortheast to understand heat health decision-making. program. A report back on the workshop was later presented as part of the CCRUN seminar series.
